Prices

A prominent young attorney suddenly found himself at the Gates of Heaven.  He began to protest that his untimely death had to be some sort of mistake. "I'm much too young to die! I'm only 35!" St. Peter agreed that 35 did seem to be a bit young and went to check on his case. When St. Peter returned, he told the attorney, "I'm afraid that the mistake must be yours, my son. We verified your age on the basis of the number of hours you've billed to your clients, and you're at least 108."

I work hard to provide top quality legal service for a reasonable price.  I can do this because I keep my overhead low and my life simple.  I don’t round up to the six minute increments, as is customary for lawyers.  (If I spend seven minutes on your matter I charge for seven minutes, not twelve.)

I’m compassionate and interested in your story.  Everything I do is immaculately tailored to the individual client.

I’m unshockable.  Despite my youthful appearance, I’ve been around the block and seen a few things, you will feel comfortable telling me what I need to know to get the job done.

Many of my services are available for a flat fee and don’t be afraid to offer a barter!

I do charge for initial consultations because, unlike many lawyers who spend the time giving you a sales pitch, I dig right in to the matter at hand. If we agree on a flat fee, I subtract the amount you paid for the initial consultation from the flat fee.   I also have a two hour minimum if I take on your legal matter.

I have special rates for small businesses and individuals.

Estate planning is usually a flat fee.  I charge between $1,000.00-$5,000.00 for my Revocable Trust Estate Package.  I will be able to give you an exact quote once I know more about your situation (how much property you own, if you are married, if you are a blended family, if you have a loved one with special needs, etc.).  Unlike some lawyers, I don’t feel comfortable sending you out the door with a partially developed estate plan so my fees are all-inclusive with a will, trust (if needed), power of attorney, advanced health care directive and all of the other miscellaneous documents you may need (deed, change of ownership form, certification of trust, etc.).  What I do is not comparable to that cheap internet deal you saw advertised.

I will review the estate plan developed by another attorney or company for a flat fee of $500.00 and if I determine that it needs to be redone I will credit $300.00 toward my all inclusive fee.  If you do not need your entire estate plan redone then I usually come up with a partial flat fee where you pay a flat fee for the documents you do need and hourly for consultations.

I never try to sell you something you don’t need.

Past clients get a discount on their future legal needs.

If I don’t know the answer I will research it and/or refer you to someone who does.  I would never fly blind just to make a buck.
